Abstract

The present study was conducted in Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh with sample size of 296 banana farmers to measure knowledge about banana production technology .Due to the non-availability of a standardized scale to measure farmers’ knowledge about banana production technology, it was thought necessary to construct a test for the purpose and an attempt has been made to develop a test for measuring knowledge about banana production technology. Pertinent items were collected covering all aspects of banana production technology. After getting the jury’s opinion on the items of test index of item difficulty, index of item discrimination, and index of item validity were worked out.to administer the knowledge test a respondent is given one mark for each correct answer and zero marks for each wrong answer. Twenty-five statements were finally selected from 32 statements.
